On May 19, CNTA Chairman Shao Qiwei held a meeting with NTA(Nippon Travel Agency) president Kazuaki Maruo in Beijing.

Shao expressed his welcome to Kazuaki Maruo on behalf of CNTA firstly. As he put in his talk, China and Japan has established a solid cooperative relationship in tourism. The further easing of tourist visa application for individual Chinese citizens as of July 1, 2010 will help increase the number of Chinese tourists to Japan. As a long-standing Japanese tourism enterprise, NTA has played a positive role in boosting tourism exchange and development of both countries, and provided a remarkable amount of managerial measures and experience for Chinese tourism enterprises to learn from. It is hoped that tourism enterprises in China and Japan would keep reinforcing their exchange and cooperation and contribute more in pushing forward healthy development of tourism in both countries.
