In order to implement the publicity plan of “Chinese Culture Tour 2011” by China National Tourism Administration, the New York Office of China National Tourism Administration launched striking bus billboards of “Chinese Culture Tour 2011” in New York for a period of 84 days from April to June 2011. Ten buses covered with China tourism images of the Great Wall and Beijing Opera are running through the streets in New York, conveying the message of “Welcome to China” to New York residents and tourists from all over the world.

In 2010, American tourists traveling to China amounted to 2 million. New York is a place concentrating tourists from all over the world. The spring is the tourism peak season in New York. The advertising launched in the spring season aims to deepen and expand the publicity and influence of China tourism in New York, make efforts to create the atmosphere that China welcomes Americans and people from all over the world to travel to China, and to build up the momentum and offer encouragement for the sound and rapid development of China’s inbound tourists from America in 2011.
