On November 6, CNTA Chairman Shao Qiwei met Mr. Mark Dunkerley, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines in Beijing.

Chairman Shao said that the tourism exchange between China and US enjoyed solid ground and sound mechanism and China boasted large tourist source. The airline sector should closely work with tourism, economy and trade sectors to boost rapid and healthy market development. He wished that competent US authorities could make create convenient travel and shopping environments, adopt visa facilitation policies and perfect airport security check to attract more Chinese tourists, and suggested Hawaii make full use of its favorable geographic location and adopt easier entry/exit policies.

Mr. Dunkerley introduced that in April 2014 Hawaiian Airlines would launch three direct flights per week between Beijing and Hawaii. He said that related authorities including Airlines for America had been urging US government to publish policies for attracting more international tourists, and since October, differentiated security check had been introduced to over 20 domestic airports including Honolulu Airport, which would be introduced to more airports. The CEO said that as a service provider, Hawaiian Airlines wished tourists nice experience throughout their trips.
